The mini vise holds items securely, and the drill bits are sharp and varied. Perfect for jewelry making, crafts, and small DIY projects. Easy to use and well-made. Highly recommended

Love the selection! The clamp doesn’t do much for me, but that could be user error. All in all, I love it. Very handy!

I love this! The bits are very strong. I have used it on seashells, stones and leather and have had no problems at all. It has a little tiny vice that goes with it so you can hold everything perfectly still while working.

As others have commented and pictured, the drill bits are weak and break easily. They all have an 1/8 inch shank and work best in a Dremel, but no way can you use them by hand. You can’t hold them straight long enough not to break. But, my main complaint is the vise, which I have been trying to incorporate into my projects for several months now. The tolerances in the screw and sliding jaw are so loose the the jaw wobbles back and forth about 20 degrees laterally. The jaws themselves are not serrated in any way, but are coated with very smooth black epoxy paint (or maybe a powder coating), and are so slippery that, between the wobbly jaw and the very smooth jaw faces, that this vice really doesn’t hold anything securely. Anything you put in it just pops out when you apply pressure to the work piece. The screw-in roller knobs at the top will hold a piece of pipe, dowel, rod, etc., if you crank hard enough, but even then, don’t be surprised if your workpiece moves when you apply force. All in all, just pretty disappointing.

I ordered this mini hand drill months ago, but barely had a chance to use it until today. I was working on making Christmas ornaments and needed to drill the tiny holes for the eyehooks. I started to "gently" drill the hole on top when it just snapped and the piece stayed embedded in my project with no way of getting it out. Project was ruined. The little bit, which by-the-way, wasn't the smallest one I used, was flimsy and not durable to be used as a strong drill. My object wasn't even that hard for the bit to break. I'm disappointed by that.Another thing that I wasn't too happy about was the small vise that came with the bits. As I was putting it together, using the extra pieces that hold your object (the orange plastic things so that your project doesn't get scratched)...one of them didn't tighten and it stayed loose. I had to wedge a rolled piece of fabric between the screw head and the plastic thing. That seemed to fix the problem, but I shouldn't have to do that if it was made right. My mistake was waiting this long to try it out to make sure it all worked perfectly. Now I can't return it because that window has long passed.

This is a must have if you are doing polymer clay work. the drills that come in the littler plastic box are super fine. The same size shaft diameter make them easy to switch between different sizes. I have an electric precision drill as well, but that tens to wobble making it difficult to be at a precise spot. I wasted many hours trying to create a precisehole before baking my clay and then trying to get it to the size I needed afterwards using some other tools. Even ended up damaging a few pieces in the process. Wish I would have gotten this earlier.Initially I had ordered just the drill and bits, but that order got lost and never reached me. But Amazon refunded the price and I ordered this one as a replacement. Honestly, I have never used the clamp so far because my pieces don't fit in it. If I was exclusively making beads, it might have been useful. That is why 4 stars for value for money. Unless you are making beads it is a better that you get a cheaper set without the clamp.

It’s a good thing it comes with several bits because my first try the bit snapped drilling into the side of a square dowel. I wasn’t even being rough with it. I still rated it 4 stars because overall, I think it will be a valuable tool for my miniature dollhouse furniture making. I find the vise very helpful as well. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase.
