These collets tend to be "closed tight" when unboxed, but I just insert a tungsten and pry open each "finger" and they're good to go. Would definitely buy these again.

Have used these collets for over a week at work. We are doing a fair bit of positional work so the tungsten length is adjusted frequently and these collets have remained solid and hold the tungsten securely even when the torch is getting hot.The Tri cut seems to be a great idea.
