You're not going to make a music video with these things, but if you want decent sound quality with 25 feet these light and reliable. You can spend twice or three times as much and get more range if that's what you need.

Absolute junk! I bought this to use on a client video shoot, a simple fitness instructional. It quickly became apparent that the transmitter and receiver basically require line of sight to work. If the client wore the transmitter pack on her back, the audio would continuously cut in and out. If she wore it on her side where it could "see" the receiver on my camera, the audio worked (Our test distance was no more than 6 feet away). If she turned her body for even a split second and slightly put the transmitter out of view of the receiver, the audio would cut out. These are not worth $100.

Range is not very good.(as advertised) Audio is acceptable to do YouTube videos and the like. Probably not for professionally quality productions though. That being said, for what is, and for what you are paying for, it gets the job done. One of the patch cords they sent me was defective as well, had to replace it.

These work really shockingly well considering how cheap they are. No, they're not as good as a $1000 rechargeable lavalier system -- for one thing, the real range is short, around 20m only. However, they're good enough for recording meetings and small talks, and last a surprisingly long time on two AAA batteries (around 7 hours of recording, by my estimate). That mic is *sensitive*, but doesn't pick up a lot of background noise.

Haven't used this a lot yet, outside of a couple test runs, thus far, sound quality is good, range is acceptable. When larger electric appliances fire and you are near them, you might get a bit of a crackle for a second, other than that, working good.

After reading the reviews I was a little skeptical on purchasing this setup, since I'm going to use it to do some simple videos I figured it would be good to experiment with this inexpensive mic set. I am no expert in this field but this little setup is awesome. The quality of the construction leaves a little to be desired as it is all cheap plastic, the audio quality was actually pretty good and clean. I used it over a fairly short distance of less than 20 feet.

I was expecting a passable mic for nat sound - but this thing is better than the broadcast quality mics I worked with 15 years ago. Excellent sound quality on my little Nikon D3200. It's easy to set up, the hotshoe mount is very practical, and the whole system works great. The omnidirectional mike does pick up sound all around. I bought it to shoot a friend's wedding and this should work great for catching the couple's vows from a distance.
