Less than three years and just under 23,000 miles later on my 2010 RAV4 and actually I'm Very glad to be rid of them. I'm pretty sure that they were worn out and shot by 15,000 miles. From the start they were floaty and it just got worse until they've now begun to bang over some sharp impact expansion joints.Take my advise and take your money and purchase some KYB's, I just did and there is a world of difference. You can thank me later.

I wouldn't say the ride is smooth. Have hade them installed for a few months and find the ride excessively stiff and bumpy. Wish they were adjustable. Lesson learned.

It was easy enough to install. I just followed the YouTube videos out there. The one little tip that helped me was when installing the new rear shocks I did not premount the shock to the lower bracket so I could wiggle it as necessary to get the bolt though and nut on. This helped to line up and install the bolts in the upper bracket easier since there is so little working space to get your fingers up there.

I have a 2010 RAV-4 with about 40K miles which I've owned since new. Recently I got fed up with the rough ride and when I looked at the original (USA manufactured Tokico's on my Canada-built RAV) I found that the driver's side was leaking pretty badly and hence I needed to replace the shocks. I'll be honest and say that I chose them as much for the reasonable price as based on past experience with Monroe Sensa-Trac struts. I've got about 2,000 miles on them and they have definitely quelled the rough ride and frequent bottoming out. I can't comment on longevity but I'd be happy to get at least what I got out of the OEM shocks given the price. That said, I think the longevity of the original shocks was 'shockingly' short. The ride is quite good - certainly far better than what it was at replacement and as good as when new. These shocks feel like they have about the same compression/rebound dampening as the originals so don't expect them to enhance handling above a comparable new OEM shock.

The shocks are great and helped to smooth out the rather stiff ride of the OEM shocks. Changed them at 103,000 miles and wish I had done it sooner. There was a gas charge that makes the length grow if you let them sit unretained on the ground, the original shocks had lost their charge and were very stiff moving. If you are after control but a smoother ride I do recommend this shock.
