The bit is not balanced at all and at even lower speeds rattles my router. Sure it runs but it can't be good for the router at higher speeds and feels unsafe.Feels like quality of a $10 bit. Returning this.

If you work with routers, you are well aware of the unbelievable range in quality when it comes to bits. I would say better than 50% of the ones available on the market are sub-par. Finding one that isn't is sometimes a challenge. This MNA 1/2" (Dia.) Double Flute Straight Bit with 1/2" Shank is definitely a quality bit. I work with Hardwoods most of the time, which can dull a cheap bit with one use. I put this to use about 5 months ago and again this past week. I have probably made 40+ cuts with it. As of Sunday's use, it was still as sharp and true as it was 5 months ago.The edge that it leaves is almost smooth enough to not have to sand on some pieces and I have not tried to use it for joints. I am going to try rabbets with the shelf unit that I am putting in our RV.This is a High Quality Bit that is holding up just fine versus Oak, Black Walnut, Maple and Poplar. I would recommend this for any serious woodworker. Good stuff.Quality Bit

Bit shattered after three cuts. Routers spin way to fast for this kind of junk. Potential for injury is real. Needed the oddball size for one job to save time. Wasted money and not saving any time. Lesson to learn? Yeah, for high speed bits, pay for quality.

This review is for the MNA 1/2" shank, 3/4" diameter flush trimming router bit with both top and bottom bearings. Cutting length is advertised as 1-5/8" and measures a little longer at 1.66".This is a quality router bit with bearings on both ends of the cutter to allow flush trimming of laminates or trimming to pattern templates placed on top of or under the workpiece. Both bearings are 3/4" O.D. The end bearing is about .280" deep with a small inner diameter for the socket head screw. The bearing on the shank is narrower at about .156" wide and necessarily has a 1/2" I.D. to fit over the shank. A collar with a set screw holds this bearing in place. The carbide is about 0.84" thick. The bit is well balanced and since it's new it cuts like butter. There was a small nick in one of the carbide edges, but the other was perfect and no bead line was present on cuts because of it. Not enough to down rate it by a full star in my opinion.Looks like a pretty good quality product, although I might compare with other name brand equivalents for pricing. 4 1/2 stars that we'll round up to 5 in this case.

Very sharp nice bit, it did hope alot on my yearend project! Yes Lego table, the bit could save the time for sanding. i suggesting slow feeding and not too deep because i did burn a bit at the end for the first run. it turn out a experience to adjust the speed and router depth. As you see the package is expected simple but the bit are extermly nice.i will try this MNA brand for the large set soon, Thanks for Bob for help on the plan
