I bought mines at home Depot and it's amazing for tile cutting. I build a base with weights and lever to raise up or down for depth regulation. I doo all sorts of cuts with it.

Not supposed to be variable speed! This type of tool and the discs you use are to be driven to speeds in excess of 18000 rpm! If you vary the speed you could damage the disc and it could fracture and blow apart. This is used from anything from exhaust removal metal work etc. It has a range beyond what I could write here. Finally they have come out with a cordless and a motor capable of the needed high rpm range. Before this we had to use the pneumatic type which are a pain with the air line.
