This is a well made and comfortable protective cup, but it is plastic with a carbon fiber looking sticker applied.I honestly did not expect it to be carbon fiber for the low price.

Comprato a mio marito che è molto soddisfatto. Durante l'allenamento non crea alcun fastidio permettendo di muoversi agevolmente e risulta piuttosto robusto per eventuali colpi ricevuti.

It's a bit on the large side but they have to accommodate the gifted as well. I installed this bad boy and it felt pretty comfy, I almost couldn't tell it was there. Decided to test it out and had my brother give me a kick. I felt almost nothing so I requested a flurry of his strongest attacks and much to his chagrin I remained unscathed. We wanted to keep this party rolling so my cousins came over and my family went to town trying to find fault in this exceptional item. I'm talking baseball bats, crow bars, they even shot fireworks at it to no avail. This is my new stocking stuffer!!

You must have compression shorts or jock strap or else this thing is gonna suck. Even if you do it’s absolutely huge, it’s roomy and comfortable but in a combat sport it’s more likely going to get in the way and make things uncomfortable. I will update when I have to wear it for a kickboxing tournament.

A semi-comfortable box who would have thought? Fit well and about as comfortable as you are going to get

For refference: I'm 5'10, weighing 185lbs...& I train 5x a week....The cup is too wide, sharp, & the material is too hard. It might be okay for straight boxing, but it feels really uncomfortable when doing any sort of grappling. I couldn't finish a regular armbar or triangle choke because the cup is too wide, making it impossible to squeeze my legs together...I can't return it since ive worn it & thats gross...so I'll just leave my honest review. Save your money & go buy a Diamond Cup instead.

I recently started taking karate again after a more than 2 decade break, and want to protect my goods I'm 54 years old, and purchased this cup to replace the one I used 25 years ago (which was a youth size). This one fits comfortably. I'm guessing I'm "average" size (5' 10", 190 lbs, and average sized package, though one teste is enlarged after hernia surgury a few years ago). The cup has no extra room inside, but the perimeter seems to contact my groin area just fine. Surprisingly, I am using the same jock strap from 25 years ago, which holds the cup nicely. In wearing a gi which has loose-fitting pants, I sometime wear form fitting sports shorts over the cup and strap and beneath my gi. No problems with mobility, and I usually forget I am wearing it. I clean it using hand soap and warm water.

K, well, it is functional. That being said, I wouldn't call myself an XL down there, I think I'm pretty average, not that I've done much comparing, but in my humble opinion things seem a little tight down there. Also without compression shorts the top air hole is a bit of a nuisance, for reasons I will leave to the readers imagination. A little more room, both for the axle and for the bearings would be appreciated. I only bought it because the fencing club requires it, so it won't be too much of an issue. As a rugby player, I can attest that wearing it in a contact sport involving running/skating would be hell tho, either make it bigger or get rid of the top hole
