I was looking forward to getting this for upcoming investigations. I tested the laser and it glowed perfectly. I wanted this to be charged prior to my investigation; I followed the instructions for charging and used the cord that came in the Medusa Net as well as the right size plug for charging. I left it plugged in no more than 1-2 hours. The red light was solid so I unplugged it. The red light never went off and the laser would not turn on. I tried the troubleshooting for removing the batteries to reset per instructions, however I believe the batteries inside had over charged maybe, or expanded a bit and the dial to get to the batteries will not budge and it looks like the lid is outside the threads. I am truly disappointed in the quality of the batteries however the laser itself was so bright and looked like very high quality. I am also being charged to return the damaged item to the seller and will not be able to have a new one sent until this one is returned. I’m not sure at this point if I still want one but truly was looking forward to using it. I will update if I get another one ordered.UPDATE: 3/28/25 I sent this product back to the address provided to me by Amazon. As of today it has yet to be delivered due to address change by the business and no forwarding address left. Amazon did refund my purchase price as well as a 10.00 mailing fee. Thank you for that Amazon. I truly just wanted a replacement product after the seller could look at the defective batteries and what it did to the device. I can't get the product to them to at least look at it.UPDATE 3/30/25- after working with the company directly, and having a great conversation with them, they are sending me a new item free of charge. They company is going to make sure that the product works before sending it to me... I'm changing my rating to a four star only because I haven't used the product myself. I will leave more comments once I get the Medusa Net and use on an investigation.

This is the one. Search no more. The quality is very good. Used SmallRigs clamp to attach to tripod.

The Medusa laser grid is well made! It is made out of aircraft aluminum and is sturdy. It did not come with a tripod or an attachment/clamp. I ordered it separately/ the Hydra. The laser came with 5 heads for different grids. Just screw them on. 5 stars!

It’s definitely a green laser, but nothing like the brightness that I expected. I have one that looks identical to this except it’s silver and color and a blue beam and this one must have a different lens in it or something so definitely do not confuse it with the super high-powered ones that look just like this. I know it’s sold as a children’s Halloween toy, which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense because it’s very bulky and Big A child’s not gonna wanna hold onto it very long.
