It works good. Just make sure you put kitchenaid on slowest setting. I've only used it for deer chicken fried steams and regular chicken fried steaks. I haven't tried it with chicken or anything else but it did good for the steaks. Just have to go slow and make sure it isn't too thick.

Stand mixer attachments are so cool. This meat tenderizer made short work of some hand cut chicken breast and turned it into easy cooking cutlets for a chicken parm dinner. Beware of those sharp little teeth! It took a little finesse to get it right but I'm a pro now. I can't wait to make chicken fried steaks next. It was pretty easy to attach and wasn't bad at all to get clean.

As a long-time Kitchenaid stand mixer owner, I have quite a few accessory items for the tractor-like PTO on the front of my mixer, including a meat grinder, pasta maker etc, but never a tenderizer until now. I didn’t even think about it TBH, instead beating steaks with a hammer like most. Enter this whizz-bang gadget!Seriously, I think you could tenderize the worse steak ever with this and it would come out great. The gears are very solid, and despite the body being clear plastic, it’s very robust. The clear plastic actually makes cleanup a breeze, because you can see everything very clearly.A top-tier kitchen addition in my view, and one which will be getting lots of use in this home.

I can't believe how well this worked. It tenderized a round steak in seconds. All I had to do was cut in in half so it fit. I love it.

This tenderizer is fantastic!!! I realize there's a warning in this product description that chicken and fish could be destroyed running through this machine, but I thought that ONE piece of chicken, was worth losing, to test.I did not run precut, chicken cutlets through. I cut skinless, boneless chicken breasts into approximately thirds by slicing horizontally across the entire breast. The worst part of making cutlets from whole chicken breasts: the pounding. I've always hated this step- even putting it in a bag, or covering it wi'th something, I feel like the chicken is spraying everywhere. Instead, I used this attachment and it was a game changer! The tips I have for running chicken through here are- let the rollers grab the piece of chicken and allow your grip of the cutlet on top to give the TINIEST bit of resistance- this will keep the rollers pulling the chicken through smoothly. I ran each piece through three times, and they were beautifully thin.Second tip- or more warning- because I DID lose one extremely small piece of chicken to the rollers- it got sucked up into the rollers and right under the plastic cover- DO NOT!!! attempt to grab anything that isn't coming out of the rollers correctly. The stainless steel bits on the rollers are super sharp; I don't even want to think what they would do to fingers. When the little piece of chicken got sucked in, I unplugged the machine (better safe) removed the plastic shield, and just used the included tool to pick it right out. 30 seconds, and right back to business. For cleaning, you're going to be really happy with the brush/picker tool included! I kept the turning mechanism away from the water as much as I could while still scrubbing the rollers with plenty of soap, making sure not to miss where the rollers attach to the frame of the attachment.KA attachments can be a crap shoot, even when they're directly from KA. This one is worth every penny. Cutlets cost so much more than whole chicken breasts, and this had the whole process done in so much less time. I mean- rolling the cutlets through is also pretty satisfying, LOL! The end result, the MOST important part, was melt in your mouth tender, evenly cooked, cutlets. This is a must have if you have a KA stand mixer, and cook with any frequency!
