We bought 3 of these to mark off swm area & boat lane at our cottage which is on a large body of water. They are attached to anchors. They worked for our purpose. However, they lost their shape in the sun, & 1 of them sprung a leak at the top & is no longer working. They are a nice hard rubber & seem to withstand wave action pretty well. For dock buoys that were taken in & out they would probably be great not sure how they would hold up if attached to a dock & bumped into often.
