This is a quality, manual blood pressure cuff with pressure gauge integrated to the squeeze bulb used to pressurize it. A stethoscope is NOT included with the cuff; you need to have your own to use it. It uses a D-ring, which makes it easier to tighten the cuff on your own arm. I am especially enamored of the metal protrusion that runs down alongside the bulb. This makes it much easier to squeeze the bulb, but only if you are right-handed. You can use the bulb left-handed, but its a somewhat awkward grip. I compared the results of using this cuff with my stethoscope against using my automated BP machine, and the results were the same, within a few points, so it does appear to be accurate. My only real problem is with the instructions. Due to a language issue, I think, the directions for positioning the cuff are wrong. They say, "The inflatable cuff should be placed either on the right or left forearm, making sure that its lower border is 1-2 cm above the hollow of the elbow." Obviously, the cuff should be placed on the upper arm, but a new user of BP cuffs might not know this, resulting in inaccurate readings.I rated this item a "5" in spite of the instruction error, as the product itself is very high quality and would be a worthwhile purchase.

Seems accurate compared to my old cuff, but I needed something I could use by myself instead of someone testing for me.

Got this as a manual backup for our machines at work. In our testing this was consistent with readings from our automatic machines. The build quality on the BP gauge is very nice. Nicer than other ones I've owned, which is surprising since I've never heard of this brand before. No complaints or issues at all. If we needed another one then I wouldn't hesitate to reorder another one of these. Good price for the quality.

After using the Manual Blood Pressure Cuff- Aneroid Premium Precise Monitoring Professional Sphygmomanometer, Adult 8”-17” Inches (20-42cm) for Clinical or Home Use, for a couple of weeks in a personal setting, I have found it to be accurate and the cuff is comfortable for the wearer. However, there is hard metal piece next to the inflation ball that makes it awkward to pump up the cuff.

Its design is simple and practical. It is very convenient to measure blood pressure without any complicated steps. The cuff is comfortable and does not cause pressure on the arm. Last time I measured my blood pressure at home, I felt that the operation was simple and accurate. The result was almost the same as the doctor's measurement, which was very accurate. It is also very durable and still intact after several uses!

This is a straight forward blood pressure cuff that’s pretty easy to use. The numbers on the gauge is easy to read, the Velcro on the cuff sticks well and I like that it comes with a storage bag. I don’t like the metal bar that’s on the inflator since I find that it’s less comfortable and makes it harder to inflate the cuff quickly. The dial on the cuff will take some getting use to so that it’s not turned too much letting the air be released too quickly.

My wife is a nurse, as is my daughter, so I got this for them to try out and compare to the one they've had since becoming nurses. This one is particularly nice because of the wide and very comfortable cuff unit and the high quality precision gauge. It is easy to use and works perfectly. My wife is going to replace her old one with this one going forward. Of course, you will need a stethoscope (not included) to use this, but my wife was able to take my BP several times and really liked how ieasy it was to use and how nicely the gauge reads. This is a high quality product, especially considering the price.

Pros:Quality of construction is good--materials are all solid and it appears well-manufactured with no obvious defects. The gauge is large and easy to read. The single tube design keeps things from getting tangled or kinked. The cuff fits a wide range of sizes. It's relatively easy to inflate the cuff once you "break it in" by inflating and deflating a couple of times. This cuff can be applied to yourself one-handed if you need to take your own pressure.Cons:Although it's difficult to tell from the pictures, the cuff is not a wrap-around design but rather a loop-back design (the cuff threads through a metal bracket and loops back on itself rather than continuing to wrap around the arm). This design is what allows it to be applied to yourself with one hand. But when using it on someone else it's both annoying to use, and quite likely to pinch the patient--especially if they have a flabby arm. This is why very few cuffs in healthcare facilities use this design. Additionally, the air release valve is extremely touchy--you go from completely closed to having your needle drop wildly with just a tiny adjustment. I take a lot of manual blood pressures at work so I'm familiar with a variety of manual cuffs, and this one is probably the touchiest I've used in the last few years. A 1 mm turn on the knob and I'm losing pressure so fast it's tough to get an accurate read. Also the inflation ball has a pointless metal tab/strap running down the back--it's hidden in the pictures so you can't see it, but it's pretty much useless. I'm sure it's placed there to provide extra support because the gauge is attached to the inflation ball, so they wanted a little extra support due to the extra weight. But it's not really needed--the ball is plenty sturdy to support the entire weight of the gauge when held in the hand. So really I think it will just make the inflation ball wear out faster. Fortunately it's removeable if you don't want it, so I plan to take it off.Final thoughts:This may be a decent cuff if you plan to use it to take pressures on yourself, and you don't mind the touchy air-release valve. But if you plan to take blood pressures on other people I'd choose something different.
