this trim is so poorly made and difficult to work with. don't waste your money thinking you're getting a good deal, because you will waste a lot of this wrestling with it to get it to attach properly.

I am impressed with this cording because you get so much of it for the price! Based on the current price this cord is listed at today, it works out to only $1 per yard and/or 33 cents per foot! I haven't seen a price like that on this type of item in probably 20 years or more. In addition to the great value, this cording is very nice. I chose the gold color and it is just beautiful, with a soft satiny sheen in a medium gold color that's not too yellow and not too brown.I like that this cording has a "lip" because that makes it so much easier to sew in place. I am using it to trim out the edges on some throw pillows I am making for my couch and it will give them a nice finished look, but the lip makes it so easy since I only need to sew at the base of the "lip" instead of trying to sew into the cord itself. Then I will have lots left over for Christmas crafts and other decorating projects, since I have a lot of gold color in my home. As far as the lip goes, it is tacked onto the cord with large stitches, so it would be easy to remove if you needed a portion of only the cord, without the lip.

This is beautiful. It's thick, full, and the extra lip for sewing leaves plenty of room to work. I'm putting it on a lightweight jacket top. Very pretty and soft, satiny, and luxurious feeling.

As a sewist, cording and piping are always an elegant touch to pillows and such. The construction of this cording appears to be well made, and I look forward to using them on the next home project I sew. I would get this again.
