I bought these replacement LEDs (pack of 5) in Dec 2023 to replace two incandescent dome lights in my car. I was originally very happy with them because of the warm white color - they look just like incandescent, and I don't like the bright blinding white of cool white LEDs.The first LED failed after about 1 month of use, but I didn't think anything of it, because I had 4 more. Over the next year, I've gone through all 5 LEDs. Each individual LED lasts only about 5-6 months before flickering, and then failing entirely. They're burning themselves out, and I'm sure that in the 2020s, they're designed to do just that. Cheap materials made in China designed to fail after warranty so that you're forced to buy more. Considering how little time these lights are actually illuminated (only while the car door is open), they are embarrassingly short-lived. Even the old incandescent bulbs used to last 2-3 years. The only positive aspect of these LEDs is that they are true to advertised color of warm white. Otherwise, save your money and look elsewhere. Not recommended.

I bought the "warm white" version. They do not have a Kelvin rating. I was hoping for a colour that matched OEM incandescent but they do not. Suspiciously, they are more yellow when you first install them, then after they heat up the first time they are now permanently more white than they started. They are noticeably somewhere in between typical 2700K and 5000K.They are brighter than incandescent bulbs. The heat sinks get hot to the touch. Polarity works both ways. The bulbs seem to have better construction than OEM, they have well formed points which actually makes them a bit longer and harder to fit, but they do fit into the spring tab, just takes a confident hand.Other than the disappointing colour, they are seem to be totally functional, brighter, replacements.

Update: 4/04/2025: It may be that these do better in mounts that use 2 "C" or "U" type clips to hold the bulb and make electrical contact to it. That might conduct heat away better. Unfortunately, my Subaru uses clips that only contact the tips of the bulb. It'd be "possible" to add more heat sinking, but, at that point it's waayyyy too much trouble.Update: 3/27/2025: One bulb developed a flickering issue in January. Boo, hiss! There is no sign of excessive heating. So, I have knocked off a star.So far, so good! These get pretty hot, but none have burned out so far. (2 months use - we'll see what happens in the summer.*) Bright, and good light quality. No problems with flickering noticed. A bit hard to get into some fixtures. I went with these to lower current draw compared to std. incandescent bulb, and they are brighter too, without being TOO bright. Definitely a help if reading a map at night, etc.Edit / Update: 10/21/2024 --I've replaced a couple periods above with exclamation points. :-)*These are still going strong & survived a hot summer with plenty of use.I forgot to note above that these went in a 2009 Subaru Outback 2.5i. Subaru, for all their positives (or I'd never have bought the vehicle!), has (or at least had back in Gen 3 and Gen 4), some glaring design deficiencies and lousy attitude toward customer maintenance, as expressed irritably when it comes to their lighting design. In several spots they just throw away a lot of the light available from even the OEM incandescent bulbs. In others, heat buildup can be a problem if lights are left on for long (esp. for LED's in the summer, which typically run at lower power than incandescents but sometimes cannot withstand even the lower temperatures they generate.) Where are these cars designed and field tested, anyway, the top of Mt. Fuji? (My Subies with good snow tires on them have been great winter cars, I'll admit.)Then there are the bulbs made difficult to replace for no good reason. Subaru just says (to paraphrase) "This bulb may be difficult to replace - you may want to seek dealer assistance." What a stink s--- attitude!Anyway, the front dome lamps with the incandescent "12v-8w" bulbs (and WHY doesn't the owners manual specify the bulb number for these???!!!) were always pretty marginal brightness anyway, even with the little "focusing" lens in the transparent cover (which doesn't line up optimally). Maybe they are bright enough for a sharp eyed young Japanese engineer, but they fall short for a better than average vision guy in his late 60's! These LED bulbs improved matters some. I considered the next Luyed model up, the 300 lumen version**, but, they would be even tougher to get in the housing. Instead I ended up cutting away some material in the sub-cover(?) under the transparent cover / lens, and that has worked out pretty well. Thank you, Albert Dremel!**The 300 lumen version DOES appear as though it will fit in our 2014 Outback's front dome light housing reasonably easily***, so, I'm likely to order a set.***Subaru must have heard from thousands of owners and tech's /mechanics who had bulbs get away from them and fall down between the seat and armrest -- a bugger of a place to get to when the bulb falls per Mr. Murphy's directive. This 190 lumen version would probably make a decent rear cargo area ceiling light in smaller CUV type vehicles & cars and the 300 lumen version would likely be fine in cars up to the size of our Outbacks, but, no, Subaru really blew it on that one and uses a 921 style bulb in a housing that must waste at least 3/4 of the light. I tried 3 different LED replacements and they've all self-destructed from heat, in our 2009 Outback. At this point I've pulled out the housing and am modifying it to take a COB type flat LED element, with heat sinking added.

The change has been completely favorable with the stock lights that come with my Sentra 23, which are amber. They greatly improve visibility. While these lights may not always be on, when we need them to search for something or read something, we need them to truly illuminate, even if it's just for a few seconds. That makes things easier. The lights are really easy to install, although the real difficulty lies in how complicated it may be to remove everything else from your car to install them. They look of good quality, and for the time I've been using them, everything has been going wonderfully.

I bought these led lights for my 2009 honda crv and they burnt out and started flickering after 9 months. Buy a more reputable brand like philips or sylvania. If I could give zero stars I would. Lights should last at least one year.Garbage junk do not buy!!!

Great little bright lights - easy 2x as bright as stock in my wife’s Mazda CX3. The tips are not as pronounced as stock so install was a night harder than OEM.

Work great on my '09 Honda CR-V, slightly brighter than the stock bulbs but not overwhelming. Quality is good, construction feels solid and the LEDs are functional and consistent across the set.

These work great. Easy to install, fit in my vehicle just fine, and are much brighter and nicer than the stock bulbs. They even dim to dark the same way the stock bulbs did.
