I was looking for just the rubber cushion and a for a little more I sprang for the whole thing.I haven't installed it yet as the screw holes of my old thumb rest do not line up with this one, but the quality of the metal is pretty good and chromy (not just some thin chrome layer).I saw some reviewers complaining that theirs did not come with the hole for the neck strap (see product's first and last photo) but mine did and the kit seems pretty good.

The item we received was the one with a hole for a neck strap. However none of the four different neck straps we have would go through the hole. So, we had to bend the hole more perpendicular to the body of the clarinet to Allow the hooks on the straps to enter.I, as some others were, was confused about the black thumb rest unitl I realized that placing it downward rather than along the thumb rest body would allow your thumb to rest in the groove. Perhaps the seller may want to add a picture to clear up its use.

Got this for my Alto Clarinet. It fit perfectly. I like how it is adjustable for how I hold my clarinet.

The one I received did not have the attachment point for a neck strap, as shown in the main picture.

I ware a neck strap and the top part of the black rubber thumb rest covers the hole on the thumb rest, and I need that hole to connect my neck strap to the clarinet.
