Works as advertised, you can use the key to insert the portlocks into Ethernet ports and also remove them. The portlocks themselves are made of plastic and can be removed without the key but that take a bit of fiddling and thus prevents most users trying to access the ports if a portlock is installed.

I used these to secure the network jack on voip phones that would otherwise have been left open for people to plug into. I would say they are more of a deterrent than truly secure. If you really wanted to get them off you could without the key but perfect for what I needed them for. And a much better price than other solutions I have seen.

Works! You just can't stop the other person from unplugging your box because they are angry you locked them off the internet (sigh).
