The FB460V engine has an L-head design with two valves; transistorized flywheel magneto ignition system; float type carburetor with fixed main jet and mechanical governor. The engine used a pressurized lubrication system; semi cyclone-type air cleaner with a dual element and electric or recoil starter. Engine models with the electric starter are also equipped with 12 volt – 13 A charging coil with a regulator.
