Made from a beautiful extruded aluminum base, the lamp features a powerful array of 60 super bright 3528 LEDs, arranged in a circular pattern behind a fresnel lens. 180 Lumen output. Color temperature is 4000K (Natural White). Low power consumption (less than 150mA). Side mounted rocker switch mounted on the lamp base. Installation is easy using exposed mounting holes on the flanged base. Directly wire to your 12 Volt electrical system. Unlike temporary puck lights, this lamp provides a very bright light source, well in excess of standard incandescent bulb dome lights. Back in the day, I was a naval electrician. I was looking for a replacement shower stall 12VDC light for my boat. Thus, the need for a waterproof fixture. The rocker switch is not sealed and there is no gasket to seal the back of the fixture to the mounting surface. If you were to submerge the light fixture into a sink full of water, I'm sure it would fill up with water. This light may be appropriate for inside an RV/Boat closet, but in my opinion, I wouldn't install anywhere around water or in a compartment that is very moist.

Bought these lights to replace the original cabin lights from 1989. Product came packaged very well. The aluminum is not flimsy, has a good rigid structure. The switch is very solid with a good rocker. After installation I couldn't beleave the quality of light they produce. For best mounting have a flat surface at least 7"x7". I will be buying more soon to replace the cuddy lights.
