The thing is built with quality . It was very easy to assemble and it functions well for what I need it to do. The size is perfect and it is sturdy. Great value for what I need it for. Before I was drilling holes one by one in patches where I needed it to get holes now this is easy to do with this tool.

I have a few issues with my yard that I would like to improve. After some research, it sounded like aerating the yard may help. I saw this tool and thought I would give it a try. This tool arrives in a few pieces and will need to be assembled before using. This is super easy to do and takes very little time, so that is not a problem. It seems quite sturdy and holds together well, even after use. I know this is designed with a slightly wider base to cover more area at a time, but it is still quite small when compared to the size of a yard! Of course, I knew this in advance, so I was expecting to find the job quite frustrating. If you don't have a large area to cover, this would be nice though. The part that I found most tricky was finding the right level of moisture in the dirt. You want it slightly wet, but not too wet. My yard retains a lot of water so I waited as many days as I could before more rain was coming. I felt like most of my yard was about how wet you want it, but I still had a lot of issues with the tool trying to rip the whole chunk of soil out. I actually really liked this for the area that has no grass. I was able to use this tool unconventionally to ready the area for grass seed. In the spots that do have grass, I had to work really slow and carefully. As I mentioned before, my yard does retain a lot of moisture, so it is possible it was still too wet deeper in the ground. I have no experience with aerating a yard, so it could also just be that I am not good at this. There were a few spots where it worked just as it should and easily came out without pulling the ground with it. Overall, pushing the tool into the ground was easy. The sharp spikes slid in nicely and the flat plate above them allowed me to step on it to press it all down perfectly. The bar was a nice height to hold and the soft grips on the handles made it mostly comfortable. It is a lot of work to cover a yard, but I did the section I was most concerned with. How much it helps, will be determined later this season.

My lawn is quite hard. I have some difficult spots that require special attention especially between it being clay and that I have two dogs. This is very convenient to use on those smaller areas rather than renting some heavy duty equipment that will be overkill for what I need. It was easy to assemble and is very sturdy.

I used this in my lawn before.I put down new grassy dill in holes and bear spots. And it was very easy to use.I just stabbed it in picked it up.Stabbed it and picked it up after doing my whole yawn on in the front which is not very big.I was kind of regretting getting this style and not the shoes.Because it was quite a bit of a tedious work but it got the job done and loosened my soil up parrot for grassy

The aerator was packed well and came with a full set of instructions which were fairly simple, therefore I was able to put it together in approximately five minutes, which was pretty impressive since I generally have my husband do these things since I intensely dislike having to assemble anything. Fortunately the manufacturer included all the tools and screws necessary to put it together and once assemble I was pleasantly surprised to see how sturdy and heavy it was. I was able to use it in my garden and none of the parts loosened during use and it was relatively easy to use. I will say this is my first experience using an aerator and considering the price point when compared to the durability, I will say it is definitely worth purchasing. Although it is a bit heavy, I was told that this is a good sign for an aerator. Overall I am extremely pleased and am looking forwards to having an amazing looking garden this spring and summer. My neighbors are going to be so jealous!

We had new sod installed last year on top of new dirt and it didn't do as well as we'd expected. I ordered this Fologtoo Lawn Aerator Tool in hopes that aerating the soil might help loosen the hard packed dirt and promote better growth of our centipede grass.Putting the aerator spiked tool was not too difficult or time consuming and the instructions for assembly were clear. The manufacturer provides a small wrench along with a nut tool and you simply hold the bolt in place using the wrench and twist the nut into place. There are four bolts to install... the most time consuming aspect is simply getting the wrench onto the bolt and holding it secure. Once I used the tool about 20 times, I retightened everything. There are a couple of extra bolts and nuts if needed. We hadn't had rain for about a week, but the ground was receptive to the spikes going into it. I used the handles to drive the spikes into the ground and then I stepped on the base with one foot to get the spikes fully into the ground. Once inserted, I wiggled the tool a little and then lifted it out, positioning it on to the next patch of ground. Repeat, then repeat, and repeat a lot more times! The only thing to keep in mind with this type of manual tool is that you get out of it what you put into it... in other words, there is only a footprint of about 4x11 inches and you need to position each push into the ground close to the last, using your body. Do the math... 5,000 square feet of lawn divided by 44 inches of spike coverage and you'll need to push this tool into the ground nearly 115 times to get full coverage. I look at it as exercise and enjoying nature, but others may find it tedious.I am 5'4" tall and found the 43 inch length of the tool to be sufficient to avoid back strain. The spikes are 4" long and the enter the ground easily and remove easily without bringing up dirt on them. So each new push into the ground is done with relatively clean spikes, without having to bend down to clean them off. The only thing that caught on them was a random leaf lying in the grass. When I was finished, I rinsed the spikes off in the sink and gently dried for storage. I reused the foam packaging to store this, so that I would not inadvertently poke myself!Very pleased with this product, its functionality and quality are great, and I highly recommend.————————————-Here is how I rate items:5 Stars = Exceeds all expectations in terms of functionality, aesthetic, and value; highly recommend and I would order this item again without hesitation!4 Stars = Great item and value; I recommend.3 Stars = It works and functions but not exactly as advertised or it may not be the best value based on the product quality.2 Stars = Might be acceptable for some purchasers but it didn’t appeal to or work for me and I wouldn’t order again.1 Star = Absolutely would not recommend or order this item again.
