I saw some reviews saying these don’t interlock side-by-side, but they do. There is a bundle of flexible plastic tabs that fit into the slots on the top and bottom edges of each box, as well as interlocking ridged tabs on the front and rear of each box. Once assembled I easily picked up all 12 boxes as a single unit (I configured them as 4 connected stacks of 3). Carried it from my living room to my bedroom without any pieces coming undone, and loaded it up with my size 9 tennis and dress shoes.I bought the size large, which is just wide enough for my running shoes to fit comfortably. But the size L boxes are too short to fit platform heels, ankle boots, or high tops - which I already new from the product description.I also read that some found these difficult to assemble. I didn’t have an issue, but maybe it’s the sequence I used to put them together.First I interlocked the backs into groups of three.Lined up the 4 groups of three side-by-side on the floor.Snapped the center pieces into each of the bottom row of backsAttached the center pieces to each other with the flexible plastic tabs.Repeated this process for all three rows.Snapped the door fronts onto the bottom row of 4 ( with rigid tabs facing up).Snapped the door front onto the 2nd row and slid the slots of the fronts together with the bottom row.Repeated for the top row - and Viola!

I got that set of High Standards Shoe Boxes and I'm happy to report that impressed with their quality and functionality. The instructions were unclear and it took awhile to figure it out. it took about a little over an hour to build. After it was built the material was flimsy and felt cheap.

I honestly love this product and will order another one. Like some other reviews mentioned it does take some time to set them up, but once you get into a rhythm it should only take you about 15min. Once put together they’re stronger than they initially appear! I got the regular size and I could fit my size 10 shoes just fine. If you have any larger then get the next box size. I got it during a prime day so I didn’t pay the regular price so definitely worth it! Looks great in the closet too.

Not too difficult to put together. More sturdy than cardboard shoe boxes. Shoes do not fit sitting up but have to be placed on the side (men’s size 10). Decent value for the money and hopefully will last as long as the cardboard boxes that it’s replacing (some shoes are over 15 years old.I like that they’re breathable and opens from the front when stacked. No real complaints outside of the shoes not fitting right side up but it probably saves more space with this design.
