It was a tight fit and took a serious amount of patience to get it to fit all of the various snaps at the same time. I mean you really have to get it just right or all of the clips won't go in. And once you get it in, you do NOT want to have to take it back out. This is some seriously fragile plastic.I don't blame the aftermarket manufacturers for this. The original BMW parts are flimsy af. Which is why this needed to be replaced in the first place. It would be nice is the aftermarket builders would strengthen the design so it wasn't so finicky and fragile but there isn't any room for them to deviate from the original design. Any variation in the clips and it just wouldn't fit.So if you have to put one of these in, be careful and then sell it before it breaks again.

This is a great aftermarket Convertible Frame cover for the 2003-2008 BMW Z4 Roadster E85 . Much less $$ than the OEM BMW part, but is an exact replacement. The part is semi-difficult to replace depending on how bad the plastic of OEM was. The screw holes all match and the end button holes match to the frame. Just took some patience and an extra set of hands -- looks good !! and saved me a few hundred $$

I spent three hours today trying to install this part. The screws for the top fabric into the part do barely fit. The side sockets on driver and passenger side DO NOT fit. If you put one socket in the other side wont be able to be inserted. The part is I would say a few inches too long on both sides. Hence why the fit is not correct. The fit is also not flush onto the convertible top frame itself. There is about a one inch gap. Should have bought the expensive BMW original part. Do not buy this part.
