Very nice and substantial shower grab bar for safety! I like that it does not look like a normal safety grab bar and that you can also order a removable teak shelf. Not installed yet as we are waiting on the remodel but I will update and add pics when it is done.

This is a very nice grab bar without looking institutional. There are attachments that you can get for it (which) we did not. It is quite pricey, but you would not want a flimsy grab bar that either didn't mount securely or was prone to bend, so with that in mind I would say the price was reasonable for what it is.

I had the contractor install this gorgeous bar in my new shower and I love it!I didn't think I needed a grab bar, but I've already used it, and it's long enough to hold our shower supplies. (I got the 3-foot one.)

This is the best bar for a shower, bathroom or anywhere your need to assist. Doesn’t look institutional. Also can act as small shelf, shampoos, soaps and cleaners.However!!!!. I have installed these units twice in the last year. Seems the chrome covers for the front of the cyclinder holding bar to wall are plastic. Each installation the plastic clips that hold the covers are broken in the box even before opening. Kohler good at replacing at no cost, but frustrating to have to phone each time.Also, there is a nice small “teak” tray that clips to the bar. But at $100.00. Really Kohler??Rocket Ron in Victoria BC

Like many of the other reviews, my problem was similar. One of the decorative plastic end caps was broken. Used silicone to secure it place, and it looks good, but Kohler needs to correct this problem. The broken pieces are becoming the norm, not the exception. Couldn't they be made out of something stronger, like... Oh, I don't know. Metal, maybe?

Color of the actual bar was not polished( more like brushed stainless) but the mounting posts were.

much more convenient & easier to maintain than tiled shower niche... required a professional installer to drill holes in porcelain tiled wall

This was the only shower bar that did not scream convalescent home and provides an upscale addition to my recent bathroom renovation. I had to purchase a tile bit for my drill to install it, but it is sturdy and practical since it also can be used as a shelf for bottles, etc. A couple of the plastic end caps were damaged, but I used silicone to attach them which probably works better than the little plastic clips anyway. This is an elegant solution in any shower.
