After years of use, I think that pellet dust found its way in to the stock fan. It was making a noise and then finally, I started to receive errors and have issues with the flame. This is a glorified computer fan, but, it’s a fan that costs a lot less than OEM and works flawlessly. Installation is very easy: 4 screws on the fan, snip a cable tie holding a bundle together, follow the cable to the connector on the control board, plug it in, re-use the 4 screw’s you took out to secure the new fan… and start cooking.

The fan is identical to the stock Traeger fan I removed. Fit and functioned perfectly for half the price! This fan is made by the dame company as the stock Treager fan. This fan fits grills with the electronic D2 controller. I put this one in a Traeger Century 885, perfect fit and function.Very easy part to replace, didn't even have to empty the hopper.This corrected the error code "Fan is disconnected" My fan was spinning but would stop periodically until eventually I assume it was not apinning fast enough whoch set off the error code. Installed this replacement, error cod e went away and I was back in business !
