These solar street lights are incredibly bright and perfectly light up my front yard. Installation was a breeze—no wiring needed! They’re energy-efficient, eco-friendly, and automatically turn on at night and charge during the day. So convenient!

The description says the charging unit is separate from the light fixture with a 10 ft cord between them. This design is a major selling feature because it allows mounting the light fixture in the shade -under a roof overhang for example, as shown in some of the seller's photos- with the charging unit mounted in direct sunlight up to 10 ft away. This is why I wanted these particular lights. I intended to mount the lights on the house under the soffit with the charging unit mounted above it on the roof. What I received looks like the photos but the charging unit is not separate, it's built in as part of the light fixture, on the opposite side from the lights. If I mount these where I intended, the solar charging unit will face the house and get no sunlight at all. The mounting bracket does allow the angle to be changed but if it's turned downward until the charging unit is flat, then the light shines downward and projects a much smaller circle of light.Anyone with a mounting location that will allow the lights to charge will be very happy with them. The brightness far exceeds my expectations; even the dim setting provides more light than the same setting on other solar lights I have. The mounting brackets are plastic of course, but they're sturdy and all hardware is included. Mounting requires a drill and a phillips head screwdriver. The remote works as intended, but it has one quirk: there's a button marked "SOS" that does nothing at all. I think it's funny but I imagine the mystery might really bother some folks.
