Ordered an XL in black. Size chart seems to indicate half chest and waist sizes, as 15” for an XL waist seems wrong. As anticipated, the actual size is double what’s posted and seems to be more or less in line with other garments in a child’s XL size. Fabric seems sturdy and garment seems well made. Fit is good, but is more suitable as a rash guard than a standalone swimsuit as it’s quite snug. The zipper isn’t quite as long as it needs to be which makes donning and doffing a bit challenging. Ordering a size up from your usual may help with putting it on and taking it off, and may make it a better option for a swimsuit. Overall not a bad garment and the price is fair.

I was excited to see this concept of a protective bathing suit that covers so much of the body and avoids a good deal of the possible sunburn. We were surprised the dimensions seem to be a bit off, though. We expected an XLarge would fit a 11-12 year old as sizes typically do, and were surprised it was noticeably short in the crotch, pulling on both the neck and crotch. This was complicated by the chest being snug. It would likely have helped if the hip area had been tighter to keep the lower half pulled down, but the hip width was quite loose. I'm disappointed and we're planning to return it. That said, your child's fit may be quite DIFFERENT if they're not tall for their age and have more bountiful hips than chest.
