The tools are high quality and aren't totally plastic like other toys for children. This would be a great gift for a toddler or younger child. It has provided countless hours of fun gardening, playing with dirt, and playing with the watering can.

This is a cute starter set for your little aspiring gardener. The plastic handles are lightweight with a little texture which gives them a bit of grip, the tool blades are metal. With some forceful twisting and pulling I was able to separate the blades from the handles, but I don't think that is something that will happen on its own. The little watering can is cute and will be fun to decorate. It's obviously not large enough for any real outdoor plants, but something to make a child happy that will not be too heavy. The gloves are a bit large, but my my 4-year-old is happy to wear them.
