These are solid switches that have a real durable feel to them. Best part is the key can be removed in either position which is useful when you don't want someone to turn something off without the key. I ordered multiple and they were keyed differently in case anyone was wondering.

Awesome switch. Been looking for a use for a keyed switch for a while and decided to use one on my fpv groind station for my quadcopter. This integrates fpv video from transmitter, monitor, battery charger, LEDs, and a volt meter all in one compact case. The switch is the main power switch running at 12V and up to 6A. I have had no issues switching it, although I always shut off the battery charger first because it'll put the load under 1A. Handles it fine every time.Switch is of good construction, flap door works great, turn motion is smooth and clicks into place.Only complaint is the top of the switch is very tall, but it's not a big deal unless you have a low profile situation or a door closes over the switch.Overall amazing switch!

Nice switch has a six disk lock and a nicely tough beveled outer rim; not fantastic but good for the price. There are apparently two misunderstandings with it. One, those are NOT push-on lugs; they're solder lugs. Two, there are two flats in the body casting that are the mechanism for preventing spin of the installed cylinder; it is designed for a non-round punched panel hole. If you drill the hole you lose that preventative feature unless you then supply two flats that intrude on the roundness of the hole. Some flat pieces of metal epoxied onto the rear of the mounting surface, or a complete back-up plate, can provide that. Don't criticize the design if you don't understand it. It's a good little switch.

5 stars. Sturdy metal, on/off. Key can be removed from either position. There is a little spring loaded "door" that keeps the slot covered until you put the key in. Works great. It even included the little metal things that you solder or crimp on the wires and slides on to the lugs of the switch. I say that because I think I saw a review that said the lugs were an odd size and they couldn't find connectors for it.

I bought this switch to replace a broken one on my GoGo Elite Traveller scooter. Although there were no dimensions indicated, I took a chance based a the response from a purchaser. Unfortunately, it did not fit (hence the 4 star rating). The switch appears to be of good quality, but I did not test its actual operation since it did not fit.To help others, here are the details about the switch (dimensions were measured with a caliper): The key is removable in the on and off position. This is a SPST switch. It comes with a retaining nut and two terminal lugs that can be used to attach the wires to the switch. The switch has two flat sides to keep it from twisting when mounted. The overall dimension of the threaded part is 23/32” (18.6 mm). Across the flat part is 87/128” (17.3 mm). (This is the dimension that prevented it from fitting.) Length from bottom of mounting surface to end of switch (including electrical tabs) is 1 53/64” (46.6 mm). The diameter of the mounting flange (widest part of the switch) is 15/16” (23.8 mm)If this information is helpful, please indicate so, and I will continue to provide this type of information.

I purchased this to act as a safety device for a rocket launch controller. It is much higher quality than I expected. It is made of solid metal and has a good heft to it.The keys turn smoothly and the contacts work flawlessly. The keys themselves are heavy duty, they will not bend or break.My only gripe is that it needs a lock washer to keep the entire unit from spinning. These are easily found at any hardware store, but it should have been included.If you need a key switch for safety or security, this is a good solution. It is a good value.

The switch itself is fine, but it needs a washer to go with it to keep it from turning once it is installed in the hole. I called and they don't have any such thing. It needs to be a flat washer with two flat spots on the inside circle to work properly. It sholuld also have screw on connections, these are soldered connections.
