Handmade in Europe with long turning (not cast) with ISO certified powder coating cured in high temperature oven. The most common sizes are S (length = 42 cm), M (length = 47 cm) and L (length = 52 cm). Each Sai weighs between 600 and 750 grams approximately. Note: This article can NOT be returned! Made of iron, solid one piece, and on heavier side as to be expected. Compared to other Sai, these are more tapered, especially the saki (pointed ends). String handle wraps are well done. These are not coated with a finish as the picture suggests, simply bare iron metal. I purchased the 20.5" size. The Tsuka (handle) is 5", the Moto (intersection of the prongs) is 1", and the Monouchi (shaft) is 14" long. I'm 6' tall, my arm measures 19" long from middle finger tip to elbow, so the Saki (tip) comes right up to my elbow when held in traditional defensive position (Moto cupped in palm); a good fit, luckily. The only modification I might make is put a simple rubber wrap over the handle string for a better grip circumference. Overall, they seem well made and should last for years beyond my life time. So far, I'm happy to have made the investment (purchased July 2024).

En general, se ve bien en forma, aunque es negro mate, imagine que sería negro brillante, peso y tamaño me parecen muy bien; aunque la punta principal no es tan aguda; es octagonal, la calidad y resistencia final se verá en el entrenamiento, al momento, estoy conforme con el producto, lo usare para entrenamiento. Como nota adicional me llego dos semanas entes de lo anunciado.

I have been looking to find something similar to the Shureido quality and these are it! I have had multiple pairs of cheaper sai and these blow them out of the water. They are well worth the price and will last you a long time. They feel great when handling them, perfect amount of weight and very balanced. I Already feel like I improved my technique because of the way they are balanced.

Overall quality is great. The durability is great. Standard sai break easily if thrown. These have taken punishment and haven't bent. They are great for everyday. I will say this. The prongs could have kore room for maneuverability. And have small hands and thin wrist and it still is just a little too tight when flipping and twirling them. And sonce it is iron it does rust quickly if not taken care of. Not a problem if you use everyday but set them away for any length of time they can develop some oxidaization. I would definitely like another pair if it could be made just a hair wider and a tad longer. But overall fantastic pair and the best i own to date.

I'm a Karate and Kobudo (Weapons) teacher for over 30 years who practices Yamanni-Ryu Kobudo. The Sai's are very good quality! Durable, solid, well balanced, and comfortable. These are not just practicing Sai, these are just as good as the traditional functioning Sai. I've used Shureido Sai in the past and these Kamikaze are about as good as the traditional Shureido product.I'm extremely happy with this product and gift. I would highly recommend this Sai for any experienced and novice Karateka (Kararte Student or practitioner who wishes to pursue Traditional Kobudo. You will not be disappointed.
