This KAGO HDMI switcher can be controlled via panel buttons and an IR remote (uses two AAA batteries). LED lights will indicate working equipment. This switcher uses the latest chipset to ensure flicker-free switching and high-quality images.

This was super easy to set up and it just works. I appreciate the smart switching it does which makes it easier for friends and kids to use. Just turn on a device and it automatically switches the input to that device. Definitely worth it for the price.

Update:The company has reached out and is replacing my faulty one. I am very pleased by the customer service and their willingness to make their customers happy. Hopefully the new one will work as expected. Thank you!Bought as a gift for my gamer boyfriend to make his life easier. It doesn’t work…lights up and everything, but regardless of how many different hdmi cables used, it doesn’t work. Waste of money unfortunately.

First of all the KAGO HDMI Switch - 8 Port HDMI Switch,HDMI Switcher 8 in 1 Out,4K HDMI Selector Box with Remote, worked great on my son’s multiple devices including PS 4, Switch, Apple TV, Sony Blu-ray player etc. I love the automatic switching when a device is powered on. Now, the remote is trickier. Let’s say you have two devices powered up. The splitter can’t decide which one to switch to. That when the remote comes in. It is suppose to switch to the number of the powered on device. I still haven’t gotten it to work properly. The next time I go to his apartment, I’ll try again. Also, the manual is of no help at explaining how the remote works. So minus one star for that. However, I can switch to a device if two are powered on by pressing the front buttons. Again, not written in the manual. So even though the splitter works, the manual needs to explain options and the remote control more specifically.

I am a freelance software tester, and use multiple OTTs daily. I bought this device so that I could plug the OTTs in and use the remote to switch between them, rather than plugging/unplugging them multiple times through out the day. I have had several issues. I have this device plugged into a 2yr old Samsung Smart TV 1. The description states that this unit supports XBox. It does NOT. When I tried to use it with XBox, it would never connect and the XBox overheated and cut off. 2. When switching between Apple 4k HD, FireTV Stick and Chromecast with Google TV, I always get the message to Check Device Power, even tho the power is on for all 3 of the devices. It seems to work best with the Chromecast OTT, every now and then I can switch to the FireTV OTT, and hardly EVER can I switch it over to the Apple TV OTT. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. This is going to be returned. 0 STARS

I was unaware of the auto switch feature, or I over looked it when I was purchasing, but just turn on the device you want to use and it automagically switches to that input! So convenient!
