These Plant Saucers fit the need they are designed for - a pleasant discovery. Many competing brands are much thinner or brittle and crack. The thinner ones tend to flex and bend allowing water to drain out prematurely. I wanted a liner to place under 5-gal buckets where I'm raising Hot Pepper plants. Each bucket has drain holes in the bottom allowing all water to eventually drain out. In our hot climate that means little retention of moisture in the soil which then requires tedious daily watering. These liners or plant saucers are the perfect size to comfortably fit the 5-gal buckets while offering enough of a lip edge to hold an appropriate water reserve. Excess water overflows the lip as desired while an inch or less remains in the saucer to provide a couple of days worth of root up watering. The plastic is durable and strong enough to support the bucket full of soil as well as the water weight. Lip height is perfect for appropriate water level so the plant and soil do not stay water-logged. Water wicks up through the soil and roots in a volume that is healthy and which averts the need for daily watering. The strong plastic keeps the soil from spilling onto the cement so there is no mess from each watering. A satisfying solution for a plant grower.

I have purchased several different types of saucers for plants. Most end up not very durable. These saucers are very sturdy and worth the money. The size is very useful and more uniform than most.

Nice, strong plant saucers. They’re not completely transparent, though, more semi-transparent. I like the depth of them, tall enough to catch water drain off. The saucers are easy to separate when stacked together - I’ve had some in the past that tended to get stuck together and would crack when you tried to separate them. These glide easily apart, very smooth surface.

These are solid saucers made of thick plastic and do not bend like other saucers do. I uses them with my bonsai on the balcony for the trees in pots up to 18". They will catch excess water as it runs out of the bottom of the pot (you should have drainage holes for bonsai and it's healthier for indoor plants as well.If you have never used plant saucers the principle they work under is that when the run off reaches the drainage holes, the water stops risin in the saucer. That way the water stays contain and doesn't drip out and onto the floor. These are great and I love how sturdy they are.
