This was kind of a shocker, the part came in and well it’s an actual John Deere part in the original bag! The original one on my lx172 was once red (now pink) and this one’s more of an orange color but that’s not a concern for me, the part fit in and works as it should and looks nice even though it’s not factory red. I’ll be buying again if or when I need a replacement!

went in within 5 minutes. just the part I needed in order to keep my mower going 😉. the part that held the spring is what broke initially.I removed the old one. snapped the new one into place. came in from behind with needle nose pliers to get the spring back on.

Identical to the original as expected. Remove the battery first, then the installation is much easier. Works as it should.

Works well, fits and replaces the older style parking brake on my John Deere GT262. Wish it was red to match the other levers, but I think orange was the original color.

Perfect fit for my early 90s John Deere. Take your time with the installation. It was easier to install from the engine side.
