I used these collars to help secure a squirrel baffle on a 1/2" diameter shepherd's hook for multiple bird feeders. The clamps I received with the baffle were weak and did not secure the baffle effectively. These collars do not move once tightened. I know my application is not typical for shaft collars, but they worked perfectly for what I wanted to accomplish.

When installed on a shaft these shaft collars stay in place and do not damage the shaft.

I have a great hand truck, but every time I went to use it, the large tires would be flat. I bought some smaller no-air tires but they would not fit on the axle properly. These were perfect to make the wheels fit and now I can get my hand truck at any time to use!

Great product at a great price! I have bought several times already, these can be added without disassembly of the shaft and they secure much more tightly than regular shaft collars do. I would be inclined to choose to use these over the regular kind in the future even when not a necessity.
