We got this to use in our family room as sort of a rug alternative. We do all sorts of things together on the floor- from playing board games, to playing VR and exercising and dancing. This beautiful tatami mat fulfills the need for both comfort and functionality on our lower level. It's much warmer than a thin rug we have on other parts of the flooring. Also, the kids haven't ruined it, so it's durable too! I bet I could sleep on this if I wanted to too.

This floor mat is very interesting. It's thick and HUGE. I actually thought it would be much smaller however it's better that it's big! Lots of room for different positions

These are a really nice mat. It is thick and feels comfortable. Not too soft and not too hard with a medium firmness but good support. It feels pretty cooling and nice to lay on in the summer time. Good quality craftsmanship and real natural rush grass material.

Love these mats so far. It comes with 4 large square mats. They are firm and the woven rush grass gives off a pleasant mild sweet smell. I set two of them on top of a sleeping mat and lay on them without a pillow. It feels great on my back and the sweet rush grass is very comforting. Would recommend

The mat is made in China, not Japan. I won’t trust a lying company, with something my children will be in direct contact with.

I’ve always wanted to decorate a room with a Japanese theme. These are not only beautiful but very functional; I love the slightly springy surface they create and the sturdiness of the way they feel. They slip around unless you put something under them or use the sticky strips on the bottom, so that is something to keep in mind. They never get sweaty and are great to lounge or rest on, especially if your western mattress hasn’t been super kind to your back lately. I can see myself getting more of these,

My kids love this and it's great for a play mat. The mat is not too soft and comfortable enough to crawl on it and sit for hours. It's hard enough for kids to play.
