It does what it describes very well, but you need at least two extra inches on the tie to get a grip on it. So if you ordered, say, 25,000 ties to fit the exact circumference of what you need to tie and you are using this tool, make sure to order those ties a couple of inches longer instead! : DThese are useless to me for now, but they are so cheap that the man hours it would take to process the return through accounting would actually cost more than they are worth.

I like this version far better than the ones that have a set screw. You do need to make sure there's enough of a tail on the zip tie (probably at least 3") for this to work well, but this design seems far more reliable. The only serious problem I have is that I have small hands, so I often need to use both hands to operate it!

This thing works so good. It's easy to use, not hard to squeeze and it's fun. We used it to put extra hardware cloth on the chicken coop. My neighbor helped and he's bought himself one he likes it so much. Good price, sturdy. Worth the money

I received this tool yesterday. Today I put it to use. I wrapped my friend's exhaust pipe to protect the rubber EFI fuel line from heat. I tried using the tool on the straps that came with his wrap kit. All it did was curl up the excess strap. I was unable to cut the pigtail and ended up ruining the steel strap. Tried another strap but this time used my iCrimp tool. Was difficult to use only because of the limited space with other automotive hardware in the way. Eventually got it into the right position and cinched the stainless steel strap up tight and cut the pigtail off with the imbedded cutter. The only way to improve this tool is to make it smaller to fit into cramped spaces. Great tool! Highly recommend it.

Difficult to use. Hard to get a good bite wrapping tie around barrel of tool. Other pinch style seems better.

This is great for tightening the stainless steel cable ties. You can pull the cable toes tight with pliers and cut them off with side cuts. The sharp little piece left after cutting is longer than it should be. This tool fixes the issue because it tightens and cuts the ties. The cut is close to the clasp so you’re less likely to cut yourself. Don’t get me wrong, you can still leak a little blood when working with stainless steel cable ties.
