Purchased this jacket, wore it six, seven times at most, still looks brand new. Plastic zipper broke a couple weeks ago, a few weeks outside the one year warranty. Contacted hyperlite they told me to go through the vendor for the warranty. I did what they advised and they declined the claim. I called back and explained this to customer service and they said it was way too far out of warranty time period to assist. I liked the jacket overall but apparently made cheaply and the company is not willing to work with customers.

When I put the life vest on and sit in my kayak the vest pushes up into my neck making it very difficult to row the kayak

Nearly impossible to find a 4x or larger vest with a zipper. This fit perfectly and I really do love the zipper feature. It rides up pretty high almost to the cheeks once you sit down if you have a belly, uncomfortably so. Unfortunately I’ll need to return this, but I’m going to buy my wife and kids one because they want a zippered vest and I think these in smaller sizes would be perfect and 1/3 the price of the big names.
