Using them as not intended, for a vr controller strap. They allow the laces to be pulled through but do not let them come out. This is exactly what I needed.

Seem to work well at holding if you nudge the slider to tighten in position. Releasing slider is a little unwieldy but usable. Wish they came unassembled. It would make them easier to install. As a result, if your laces have already had the plastic ferrule removed it is almost impossible to thread the lace through the locks.
