Once you set the desired combination and set the lock. Rotating the dials around will stop on your new combination and open the lock. You can’t rotate them any further. They stop on your combination and the lock opens. These are of no use if you actually want to secure a weapon.

Excellent locks. Quick to unlock. I had a problem with 1 but I quickly got a replacement. These are awesome!!!

What's not to like? A five pack of cable combination locks. Just about every rifle and handgun I have purchased has come with a complimentary lock - all with keys. That's a lot of keys to juggle and keep track of. I like these for several reason, but the main reason is because they are all combination locks.Pros: They are open on both sides, one side is white, the other side is black. You can see to open your combination from either side, although you will have to remember whether it lined up on the white or black side. When the lock is open, you can slide a metal switch on the base to set your own combination. It works well. There is a metal push button on the side to release the cable. The cable is strong and the lock mechanism is solid. I put my foot in one and pulled on it pretty hard. These are pretty basic deterrents, and a heavy bolt cutter would probably go through them, but that is not the point. This kind of lock should be used as a secondary to securing your firearms. The cables are coated to prevent scratches on the inner workings of your firearm.Cons: None to speak of.These are great and I will probably order more.

Set and attached to all my guns. 2 of them wont open several days later! Now i have to buy a bolt cutter! Terrible quality!

i've not used it for its intended use but that does show its verticality. i've used it as a traditional bike lock but on a scooter while at the park. its very strong and wont break until the object your connecting it to does. the material used to make it doesn't seem cheap or like they skimped out on any costs. one issue i have with this product though it that its 32.99 on the high end. 5 locks for 33$ USD is absolutely insane and i could get a smart lock for the same price. overall its a nice quality lock but for the price i'd say its a little overboard.

I give this 4 stars because it is easy to use and easy to set the combination. It seems a bit cheaply made and I suspect it would be easy to cut through the metal cable so if someone is determined to get this open... at least they will have to put in a bit of time and effort. Still worth the money for some piece of mind and a secure (whatever).
