These came with 3 types of brackets for any type of application, and plenty of screws. They work great. The installation instructions were wrong. I had to find the correct install measurements by trial and error.

Ordered a 45 pound set for a 35 pound door but they won’t keep it in the up position. Ordering the 66 pounder and hoping for the best. Easy install.

I didn’t size mine correctly so I’m not using them; however the product seems fine with the noted exception that the screws that come with it are horrible! Plan on using different screws.

The firewood for our wood stove has bugs on it so I built a little rolling box that holds an evenings worth of wood to keep out on the deck. The two 13 pound struts are perfect to lift and hold the plywood lid. It’s 3/4” thick and 26”x26” coated with clear epoxy. The kit included mounting brackets for both 90° and 45° We live right on the pacific coastline so I'm a little concerned about rust & corrosion but so far I am totally pleased with my house purchase and recommend them.I’m not associated with this product or any other product, I didn’t receive anything in return for my review.

These struts are a great replacement for the rather flimsy ones that came with our RV's bed/storage unit. When we replaced our mattress and reinforced the platform, the existing struts would not hold it up to access the storage compartment. I matched the existing footprint and was able to swap them out without drilling new holes. The tricky part was figuring out how to disengage the socket mechanism from the ball. One drawback was that the provided directions were scanty to someone (like me!) who was unfamiliar with the mechanism. Fortunately, YouTube came to the rescue!
