The swab looks very well made, but I haven't got a chance to use it yet. It is made from a wool blend fiber - a mixed white and grey color - not white like in the product description photo (At least the one that I received, maybe yours will be white). It fits my Kleenbore cleaning rod perfectly. On the back of the packaging it states, "Thread size 8-32. Fits all standard rods." See attached photos for details.

This has been a great swab/mop so far. I haven't had any issues or problems with it. Used this in conjunction with some bore tip .40 foam cleaning tips I got and these things work great. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good way to clean/oil your firearm.

Having used these cleaning swabs ie what I call bore mops for years in 12GA. Was very much surprised spending $2 for this add-on item and receiving a box of 10 mops. Now I can shoot more 45ACP since I have 10 mops. LOL. Thanks Amazon. Still use bore snake for light cleaning and rod & brush for major cleaning. Use these bore mops (real wet) on the final passes with CLP to coat bore for storage until next usage. Thank You. JD590.

I like Hoppe's gun care products when it comes to lubricants or cleaning solutions...their cleaning kits are no exception. My only concern is that a couple of recently purchased swabs (.45) seem to wear off way too quick even with a very mild use...For the price, I'd expect a bit more durability...
