Works great. Only giving 4 stars because it really needs a few more magnets to hold your item in place. The ones that came with it though are very strong

the sizing seems to be a bit misleading. The size stated is the hatched part inside the picture of the hoop, not the hoop frame dimensions!

My tendentious was telling me it was time to get a 5x7 magnetic hoop! I do a lot of Machine Applique & was hesitant if the magnets would hold with the constant handling. I stitched out several patterns through the hoop and it was fine. I did want to share, the hoop does brush the surface of my machine with little clearance, so I added a sticky strip of velcro (the soft side, not the loop side) on the long side and it is now PERFECT! 🧵

I absolutely loved these products. What a breeze, should have bought them so much sooner only if I were aware that they were offered on Amazon. Due to carpel tunnel surgery on both my hands I suffered inserting & locking the material to be embroidered in the hoops that my embroidery machine required. So much difficulty, frustrating and at times got even teary eyed that I could not lock the hoops. Once I found out about the magnetic hoops I was absolutely hooked. I ordered both the large & smaller frame. Now these hoops are all that I use, I even ordered/bought more magnets (pricy) to really hold down the material tight. Love them & couldn't do without.

This is the best investment I have made so far for my embroidery machine. I wish I could afford to buy one in every size because I absolutely love this hoop. It has definitely made my life so much easier because I have arthritis in my hands and was having such a hard time getting the hoops together. With this, you just place your piece where it needs to be and put on the other side, attach the magnets and start the machine. BEST INVESTMENT EVER.

I used this twice and it worked great, went to use it the 3rd time and it wouldn’t tighten. I professionally embroider, and know that although the screw needs to be tight, I know how to not over tighten and how to not strip the screw. But it’s crap so it broke and won’t tighten. Don’t waste your money. I know it’s tempting because it’s cheaper than a Brother brand one, but just buy the real one, you will have to when this one breaks!

This is not good - the hoop is warped and the printed grid is way off centre, rendering it useless.
