This product works great as a mycology broth additive. The material i received is a fine tan powder. I have used as little as 1/16th teaspoon per liter with great success. The media remains clear at these lower concentrations. I knocked a star off for the post having a "buffered water solution", as the product picture because I saw this after I ordered. Have no fear it is powdered. Slightly difficult to solubalize but can easily go in at low concentrations with minor heat addition at neutral pH. Think bathtub warm.
