These are very sharp...like they could use them to kill walkers on the walking dead. I also like that they are not ginormous. Great purchase...I just wish I had more to use them on!

Used it twice, and it is already rusting. Love the product but disappointed that this happened.

Pay attention to the dimensions! These are small but very sharp and well made. I could probably cut hair with these! But a large bush might be more of a challenge. Great for topiary!

At first I thought these were smaller than normal gardening shears, but when I put them next to my old rusted gardening shears to compare, I found they are the same overall size. The blades are shorter and more compact than my previous shears, but are very sharp, and easily cut through bigger sticks than I expected. If you make a sharp chopping motion, I found that these can cut through up to about 3/8ths of an inch sticks. It easily cuts through things I didn’t expect it to handle, so the blades must be very sharp. The handles are a good size for small hands.I love that the shears came with a plastic snap-on cover for the blades, so that if you store them outside they won’t be exposed to moisture easily. This will help keep them from rusting. The only thing that I didn’t like was that the handles had some almost-sharp edges to them where the indented line is around the handle (could have used some sanding on these edges, but as is they won’t give any splinters, so it’s fine), and could have been designed to be a little easier on hands for long sessions of trimming. I usually wait until the whole yard is overgrown before I trim anything, and if I want to avoid blisters I’ll have to break it up into a few sessions, or maybe add some padding to these.Overall they were amazing to use, and I am excited to have them and expect they will make it far easier to keep the hedges in check from now on.

I selected this item through the Vine program to replace an old and broken pair of hedge trimmers. These are really nice trimmers. Beautiful and forged from glorious Nippon steel. About the polar opposite of my beat up and ugly Fiskars trimmers with their orange plastic handles and floppy factory blades that liked to crush and rend rather than cut.Of course, the blades are razor sharp. This trimmer sliced through paper better than my scissors and pruning a few test branches was a pleasure. However, the blade is fairly short with only about 5” of cutting length. Compare this to my old Fiskars trimmers with 9” of cutting length. It means these are made more for detailed work and less of the barbaric Viking butchery I’m used to visiting on my shrubbery. The handles are a decent length for leverage and the shape is good for gripping. However, they are also varnished to death and prone to get slippy when wet. The varnish could always be stripped though if it becomes a problem. For more info on the Amazon Vine program, check the official page https://www.amazon.com/vine/about
