I installed this on a 1985 BW200. Like other reviewers, I found the edges sharp so I spent a few minutes with a deburring tool before installing to break all the edges. Specific to the BW200 the OEM loop at the rear mounting location for the OEM skid plate needed to be bent to clear the bolt for the new clamp. Install was easy and it looks great. I will update the review later after I encounter some rocks.

Directions are not provided but not needed.Aluminum is heavy duty and looks like it can take a beating. (Some edges had burs, so wear gloves for install)L brackets go on the front. Replace current bolt w/ long one provided to hold them in. U brackets go on the back over the frame and get tigetned down last.On my 2000 tw200 I had to rerout a ground wire for the L brackets to fit. I also had to grind off a small amount of wire on the frame for the U brackets to fit.The whole install took maybe 25 minutes. I needed an angle grinder, socket wrench and t40 hex wrench.

I installed this on a 2023 TW 200 . Directions didn't come with the box but its easy to figure out. To prevent vibrations on the rear mounting surface I used some old garden hose and sliced it down the center to wrap around the frame and cushion between the skid plate.

Complaints about the lack of instructions are pretty silly... IF... you need instructions for this, please take it to someone who does this for a living and pay them. The edges are pretty sharp, so spend some time with a file, deburring tool and sandpaper to get it all softened up. Cleaning (yes, I clean the TW) and removing branches and junk will be easier and safer. Good coverage, thick and easy to install or remove after installation... a bargain!

It's beefy. The edges were very sharp and need to be filed down. It was missing two washers but that was easy to fix. But honestly, how HARD can it be to pack it up properly. Pretty mystifying. I also added sound proofing foam since so many people complain about it reflecting the sound of the motor. Also, as others said, two of the nuts were poorly welded so I had to work to get the bolts in. Be sure to try all the bolts BEFORE you're on your back struggling. Hanging the back side was trickier than it looked because the OEM bracket gets in the way. A hammer fixed that. I'm happy with it now that it's installed.

Sturdy thick plate, good quality welds

After the reviews I read, I was half expecting it to come with puddles of aluminum rod and terrible grinds. The welds were good! but for some reason they thought it would be a good idea to half way sand/grind them and leave the sharp outside edge untouched. No instructions were included but the hardware was all there. A quick youtube search shows Tdubskid installing the same style skid plate and the install took only minutes after that. It does amplify the engine sounds a little but its a worth while trade off.

Welds were perfect installs easily. Thing can take a beating. Order the tusk mat to go with it to soften noise and keep rocks out.
