Bought this product as it said it was safe for hardwood floors. After using it on area carpets, the glue of the tape turned into to superglue. Upon removal of the area carpet, the tape ruined my expensive hardwood floor. It’s going to be an expensive fix. Be warned! Not for hardwood floors! I wouldn’t even use it on concrete, removal is the worst!

This stuff works wonders. Used it to lay multiple rugs down in my room like carpet and all I can say is make sure you are putting it exactly how you want it 1dt bc it's not going to budge. Using it on all my rugs so they won't move or roll up

This tape is VERY strong and 1000% worth the purchase. I got this tape because I needed it in my my classroom. I have a rug at the front of my classroom on carpet. When kids would get up and down from it, it would wrinkle up. I put this tape down and I have not had any problems with the carpet moving AT ALL. I recommend that you put it where it is going to go because it sticks really well. Being it is really sticky, be prepared to have to clean your scissors.Update: It has been 3 months and still no movement. I believe I will be getting this every year from now on!

This stuff is strong when you put it down on the carpet push it down onto the surface it's going to stay there. Just be warned how much used to hold the carpet down because you're going to have to take that much force to get it back up. This stuff is excellent and vicious and will take the hair off your arm in a heartbeat. The only complaint I got against it is it was a little difficult for me to peel the backing from the tape. But it was much easier than the other brands I have to tried. I tried this stuff out on a 4-ft carpet square put tape around all four edges. I tried to do the spin to see if it would budge it didn't I did. Couldn't be more happy with a product to hold carpet down. Give it a try.

I have a wall to wall carpet in my family room . I bought a an area rug to go on top to add more color to the room. It’s been up for a week and still holding well. It was easy to install and have my fingers crossed that it will hold for a long time. I would. So I would for now say it is a good product to use rug on rug.

This is a great product. I have used it to tape down two area rugs that are on top of low pile carpet. HOWEVER, I want to be clear that if I ever have to pull them up, I will also have to replace the carpet! It really sticks and holds, but equally, I think it will ruin the carpet if I ever decide I need to remove the rugs.

Update: I just got another roll, it's that good.First post:I've tried a couple of different types of products for these runner rugs I have on top of carpet. This is by far the best product and it's a keeper. I also tried the optimum technologies RugGrip brand and it was no good. But this brand is excellent. You have to peel off the back layer after putting on the front layer to your area rug. Then you slowly peel the back cover of the tape and lay down the area rug on top of the carpet.Make sure you have your area where I can position and you lay down the way you want it from the start because this stuff will stick. And doesn't seem to stick permanently because you can peel it off but you may get some fuzz along. If you tape all sides it won't be coming up in any way when you are walking on it.Well worth the money, great product!I can see other uses for it around the house since it's so great, double stick tape.

Like many others here, I don’t often leave reviews. BUT:Oh my gosh! I really never expected any tape to be this strong. It’s almost too sticky. I’m using it to secure an 8x10 area rug on top of carpet in an apt I’m renting. I tried multiple other options: 2 different kinds of mats you put under a carpet to hold in place. Neither worked. Rug still buckled etc. Tried 3 other dble sided adhesives that were supposed to work. They did not. I placed strips of those tapes all around the under edges but they just didn’t hold this rug in place. By the way, it’s not one of those flimsy, lightweight area rugs. So, I bought 2 boxes of this one. I don’t know why I bought 2! The package info was clear there would be plenty for my use!Anyway, for at least the 4th time since I bought this rug, I rolled it up to begin the process of taping the underside perimeter. I also taped 6’ lengths horizontally, approximately 2’ apart, to help keep this pesky thing in its place. The tape is so sticky it even gummed up my scissors. As I taped the perimeter, I’d unroll a bit more of the rug, place the tape, pull off the paper from top layer, stick it to the carpet & so on.I walked around the perimeter and all over the rug once it was all taped to make sure it would adhere well.Put my dining room table & chairs back in place and the following day thought I’d check just how well this tape works. All I can say is I hope my security deposit will cover the cost of how much the wall to wall carpet gets ripped off the floor if I ever decide to move & take the area rug with me! It REALLY WORKS!!!!
