Please Note: It means the temperature of surface of the connector, rather than the temperature that the hot air gun should set.

● For best results please use heat gun or a mini blow torch until the sufficient hot-melt glue crimps tightly on the wires
● Please check waterproof quality for a safe connection.
Usage of the Heat Shrink Butt Connector
Step 1: Remove the protective layer of the connection part
Step 2: Connect the wires to the wire terminals
Step 3: Use pliers to make the copper wire and the terminal clamp close contact
Step 4: Complete docking

Do not buy for automotive or anything where you require a secure crimp. The metal on these is so thin it will not crimp tight especially on 12-14-16 guage. I have professional crimping tools. Heat shrink is the only saving grace.

I have seen the other comments.One , said it doesn’t cover the connection.This is HEAT SHRINK,What it really depends on is what exactly, you are using these terminals for.#1. Where are you you using this connection.Indoors or outdoors ; inside a terminal box ; or just plain out in the open ( exposed to the elements).Anything metal out in the open air is going to corrode.For my personal purpose, mice chewed the wiring in my truck ( exposed about 10 wires that I have found so far.One , I chose the bullet shape terminals simply because, they are round ( and much easier the slide additional heat shrink over those terminals) to create a better protective cover, and keep the metal parts out of the elements.
