I hate to say it, but this thing is in accurate cause my Waze app shows a different speed; the heads up display was almost eight (8)miles difference which was off, so stop using it…I was wondering why all the other cars were running past me and doing seventy five 75.

Normally, I would glance at my GPS to see speeds, as I dont like the analog guage for speeds. This puts the speed in your line of sight without obscuring your view.

When I saw this product, I thought of an immediate use. I have an off-road vehicle with an annoying, very 1950s speedometer location. While adequate, and standard for old-style cars and trucks, I much prefer being able to check my direction and speed at a glance. This device allows you to do that at a very low price point. When the HUD arrived, I opened the box. I was surprised at how small the unit is—it is about the size of an old MP3 player. I read the instructions, they were straightforward. However, while the instructions tell you how to operate the unit, they don't say anything about how to mount it, or why there is a thin, adhesive plastic plate included. This wasn't a very big deal. First, my dashboard is not a typical car or truck dashboard. I knew from the beginning that my mount would be "custom." On regular cars, the provided rubber base would probably work for most people. When I went to install the HUD, I was grateful for its small size. I was able to "mount" it to the top of a wiper motor (the only feasible spot) with duct tape. The HUD needs to be in a place where it shines directly onto the windshield. In my vehicle, that's not easy to find, but I made it work. When I turned the HUD on (it must be plugged into 12v, USB-A power), it projected onto my windshield in the perfect place, but the image was doubled. This is where the thin adhesive plate comes in. I held it up to the windshield, and the projection was clear and easy to read. Therefore, I removed the protective backing and installed the plate as intended. The HUD put my speed and direction into the perfect location, centered above my steering wheel. I was ready to test it.I had to go to the local recycling center, and as I drove, I paid attention to both the HUD and my speedometer, to check the HUD for accuracy. The HUD was always within a mile of the speedometer, and the direction was accurate. While the HUD is fully adjustable for brightness, speed, and other features, I didn't have to adjust a single factory setting. This meant real success! While my mount is kind of crude (and I may fashion a permanent mount later), it worked. So did the HUD. It was great driving without glancing away from the road to check my speed. I recommend this for anybody who has an antique car! The rubber base would be great for those old metal dashboards, and nothing needs to be modified or drilled, which can be problematic on valuable old cars.Full recommendation for many automotive applications. Five stars!

I like this, but it does have some issues. It's easy to setup. I just used the rubber pad and put it on the dash. It stays in place well. I don't like the cord. It's plenty long, but it can pull on the HUD and move it if you don't secure the cord. I wish it ran on batteries and could be recharged. You can adjust the offset to match your speedometer. I didn't have to, which is great because the buttons to do anything with this are very finnicky and difficult to use. They feel very cheap. The reflection is weird. I get a double image no matter where I put it. It's still easy to see. I do like it, wish it was better. 3 stars.

It is very easy to setup. Plug in the included USB cable, place the rubber pad on the dash, place the gauge in the rubber pad, and place the screen on the windshield (if needed) where you see the speed displayed on the windshield. It has several setting options, some of which are: speed limit alert (sound/flashing), base brightness, and calibrating speed. It also auto adjusts brightness. The display is clear and easy to read.

If you have an old car that does not have the speed projection and you want it, then this is what you need. You can allegedly set it up to warn you about speed, but I have not tried that feature yet.For what I need it it's working: Teenager now does not have to look down to see how fast/slow he's going. This is a good training device, but it does not replace common sense when you or whomever you give this to drives.

Easy to connect, only during initial acceleration or braking is the speed not exactly what my vehicles speedometer registers, it did not require calibration adjustment. Fairly easy to figure out how to setup, it would be better if you could connect it to a phone or computer to option it from an app, but pretty easy without. I did not use the stick-on windshield reflector. Maybe the windshield in my car was designed for heads up because it does not look blurry, looks fine without it.
