It features Arca-compatible dovetail which allow you attach your lens to Ball Head, Clamp or Panorama Head of Arca-Swiss standard. Reserved 1/4" and 3/8" screw holes at the bottom for attach lens to tripod directly. Built-in strap hole for carry.

The ring adds stability to your camera and lens. Due to its weight, when the lens is mounted with a camera on a tripod, the center of gravity is shifted to the lens. The ring attaches to the tripod and can be shifted to adjust the balance.
Rotation
Having the camera secured with a ring around the lens makes it possible to rotate the lens between landscape and portrait modes without removing the camera from the tripod. The friction thumbscrews can then be tightened to secure the camera in the desired position.

Amazing product but doesn’t fit the camera lens it says. Therefore, that’s a waste of time and money. You get the product it doesn’t fit. You have to return it, which is driving to a local Kohl’s, which in my case is 12 miles away and that’s a waste of time and money.

It's a bit pricey for something that (I wish) the lens should have included, but thankfully third-party companies like this one make these, because for some of us, arthritis makes holding a camera for long periods of time difficult and tripods become a necessity. (When I was researching for a lens collar for the Tamron 70-180mm I found dozens of commenters on various forums saying things like,"It's a lightweight lens - just shoot handheld."*What about for video?*"This isn't a good video lens, buy a different one."Seriously, people are like this, and btw it's a great video lens.)So, if you NEED a lens collar for your Tamron 70-180mm Lens (or just want one,)I would recommend the Haoge LMR-TL718.

I was excited about the product since I always wanted a tripod ring for my 70-180 but unfortunately there isn’t enough clearance on the lens to be able to use it with a battery grip which makes the product completely useless. But I guess if you don’t have a battery grip than it’s a fine product it feels high quality

This was a pleasant surprise to try on my Tamron 70-180 f2.8 Sony E mount zoom. This zoom doesn't come with a tripod collar and the necessity for one is debatable so Tamron opted not to have one which keeps the cost of the lens down. Did I need one for this wonderful lens? I chose to get one because for me it is insurance for safer use on a tripod. This Haoge LMR-TL718 is a great option. It is not the cheapest available but reasonably priced. Sometimes a collar from the lens maker is expensive (Sigma's TS-111 for example). This Haoge unit is well machined with a cushioned lining that avoids scratching the lens exterior. While this Tamron lens can be hand held easily, I was concerned with imbalance on a tripod. I have seen a camera with a zoom lens not using a tripod collar fall over on rocks so this is peace of mind. It has an Arca-Swiss bottom with an Allen key for other tripod attachments if preferred. This collar also makes vertical captures on a tripod a safer option as well. A tip - to ensure best collar/camera alignment use the level display in your viewfinder. A recommended accessory for this Tamron zoom lens!

It gives better balance on tripod especially light tripods. Fits nicely no slip.
