It takes a little work to set up and get the right adjustments, but it's very sturdy once it's set. The stand is adjustable enough to tilt the handpan to be more comfortable to play (while standing). Turning the padded fins horizontal is more secure, but it does seem to keep the center and bottom notes from resonating fully of done on all sides.

I love this stand for my 22" handpan! It allows me to adjust very quickly and with so may positions. It rotates on the fly too! Nice job ! I would recommend this product! It's well worth the money!!!

This is definitely sturdy (and heavy). I'm able to adjust it so it fits right at the seam of both my handpans. If this was mass produced in large quantities, the design would probably be way better and it would probably be cheaper. But it's a very specialized product and this is what's available. At the lowest possible adjustments and keeping the handpan level, the seam is at 35 inches high. If you then tilt it, it's easy to play while sitting in a normal height chair. It's also easy to adjust it to play standing up. I'll probably buy another one for my other handpan eventually.
