The Magnetic Blackout Roman Shades by Godear Design is very easy to install. I installed this shade in my bedroom and it’s incredibly easy to install. It’s just one strip of velcro across the top of the window and the shade attaches to it easily. The shade does block out 99.99% of the light; my bedroom stays quite dark in the morning. The fabric is good quality and feels very durable. I have trouble getting the magnetic strips to attach to each other to put the Roman shade up, which I find frustrating and annoying. However, my partner has no trouble with the magnets to raise the shade so he is a bigger fan of the shades than I am. 5 stars from him and 4 stars from me.

The shade system covers the entire frame of the window making a tighter seal which keeps out air and light. Shades are attached by hook and loop tape creating less damage to my window trim. Shades are good at keeping out light. I am very satisfied with these.

These blackout magnetic Roman shades were the perfect addition to my bedroom. Installation was a breeze—no tools required! I simply pressed the adhesive tape onto the window frame, and they were up in minutes. They fit snugly and look sleek, giving my room a clean, tailored vibe. The blackout feature is amazing for keeping out light, and they’ve made a noticeable difference in keeping the room cooler during the day. I also love the cordless design, which feels much safer with kids around. Overall, they’ve added both style and functionality without much effort.

I was absolutely looking for a shade like this to put on my new metal door. It's extremely easy to put up and looks great. Very easy to raise and lower, it's just perfect for what I wanted it for. Recommend!

This is the perfect solution for my metal entry door with long glass panel. I get the morning sun blazing in and this blackout shade is wonderful for helping control the glare and heat. It is simple to install because it is magnetic and easy to adjust the height or length of the shade during the day or night. Best of all, it is beautiful too!

This “roman shade” from GoDear was a surprising success. I was looking for options to replace the easily ripped paper shades that provide an extra layer of light blocking on our windows, but did not want to pay for expensive custom blinds. Additionally, our internal window frames have only about 1/2 inch of inset, meaning it is difficult to find any blind or shade that can sit inside the old decorative frame. Enter this shade from GoDear. Because it installs with a simple strip of high quality velcro, you don’t have to worry about the amount of inset you have. It was accurately sized, although it took about 2 days for gravity to help it unroll and reach its full length. Putting up the sections of the shades was a little bit of a learning curve, and I do wish the magnets were slightly stronger so they would catch easier, but once lifted up it hasn’t fallen down once! No more clipping up paper blinds, but a quick lift and snap, and light fills the room.
