I mount near overhead door opener and works great. No delay like the assists with a distance sensor.

The item claims "turns on when you enter the garage and turns off after 30 seconds of idling motion". The actual time is ~15 seconds. The claim also states that it will detect motion up to 10 feet. Not very accurate, does not detect motion reliably and once motion is detected, it does not detect motion a second time at 8-10 feet. These limitations make the product unreliable.

I was hopeful this dual laser parking assist would be great in our garage. Unfortunately it is not working well enough to use. The red light is just too dim to see, and it's not because the garage is overly bright or anything. Now I'm not using batteries, just the AC adapter, so perhaps that would make a difference. It shouldn't but who knows.My second complaint is that the range of aim of the two detectors is limited by the ball and socket assembly, and I can barely point to the dash for each car. They really should rethink that ball and socket. It's like they put it on the wrong way. Plenty of movement to fold it up and put it in a box, but not enough to give free range to point at the car windshields.I missed my deadline for return, so I guess this is coming off the ceiling and going into the trash.

I had one just like this for the last 10 to 15 years.... it worked FANTASTIC for all those years... it started staying on all the time and I was afraid it might start a fire, so I saw this and was happy they still make it..... well I was WRONG... this is not the same brand as my older unit... my old unit had a light that came on also so I could see when I got out of the car at night...... ... this is just two lasers and they are weak and don't angle very far..... my garage ceiling is 14 feet tall so I got out my 10 foot ladder and stretched to reach....this unit did fit in the same mounting bracket..... but the laser would not angle where the old one used to .... no matter what I did.. so I moved the bracket and cord several times but could not get it to hit both cars???? so I got some wood and screwed that up between the ceiling joists..... FINALLY after two hours of playing around I got it to hit my truck windshield.... AND IT WASN'T POWERFUL ENOUGH TO GO THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD!!!!!! it also stayed on all the time...... so I took it down and will try to buy a good one.... as this thing is just terrible!

The lasers work good. I use it to park my truck in a real tight garage spot. I put tape on the dash where the lasers point at to show me the correct location. However the laser stay on all the time I've looked through the window after it set for several hours and they always stay on so I have to unplug it whenever I leave and then plug it back in when I come home to park
