i had ordered this nailer but it came missing some parts. so i returned it. i ordered another nailer (same brand) but this one was only $60 and came as a returned item. that was the reason for a lower cost. took a chance and it came with all accessories. after trying it out i noticed that the unit needed more air pressure to operate then the manual called for. i have many air tools so I'm accustomed to issues. i oiled the unit with 10 drops rather then the 3 stated in the manual (maybe dried seals. used it for 25 30 shots (staples) and then it started to normalize (use standard pressure). i bought it because i started a 550 sf flooring in my house. well I'm done and the nailer is doing well. no problems or issues other the needing oil. works really well. i would highly recommend this unit if your doing engineered wood flooring.

I needed a smaller flooring stapler, as my large one that you use the mallett on was too much for an engineered floor I had. This little gun did the trick rally well. It doesn't have the pulling power like the large ones, buti feel comfortable on how secure it's holding. Easy to use and not a single jam. I wouldn't buy this if your job was flooring (it has a plastic magazine), but for a diy, you can't beat the price and efficiency. I did not try the second tip it came with (I have a good pneumatic stapler already), but it appears easy to swap.

The gun loads well, fires dependably and never misfires so far. The flooring shoe adjusts ok but could be more rugged as it needs readjustment every few reloads. The worst part is the safety slide is too long and is hard to engage with the step in the hardwood profile. This causes it to ride up on the edge and the staple hits the face of the board. If you tape the slide to the retracted position it is much easier to use the gun. Best technique is to set it flat on the floor and slide it straight into the board keeping it held down from floating up.Overall, pretty damn good for the price

Was a little leery just due to how cheap it was compared to big name brands. Works great, never jambs and sets the staples where it should. Have used for the past couple of years with no issues and it is still going strong.

I purchased this item based on the reviews for a flooring install in my house. The first nailer that was shipped to me had been used which I promptly returned. I then received a new unit. I followed all of the setup procedures and attempted to nail my engineered hardwood. I used a scrap piece of flooring to set the nailer up but no matter what I did the nailer/stapler would not drive the staples deep enough. I took the air pressure to 125 psi and still no luck. I run framing nailers etc off of this compressor so I know that it isn't the issue. I reached out to freeman for support but did not get a response and due to my project being delayed which wasn't the sellers fault my return deadline has expired. I am now stuck with a nailer that is of no use to me.

When I received the product one of the plastic parts was broken. I was waiting on the gun to start install of new hardwood flooring. Called Freeman and they said send it back to amazon. I did, but not right away. I super glued the broken part and it was holding so started on the flooring. Didn't hold well but continued to glue. Ended up limping a long until I received replacement. The second nailer worked fine. Good news is it did not jam on my project. The plastic head is the weakest part of the of the gun (go figure). Works itself loose about every 100 nails. Tighten up and keep going. Annoying. In addition, I would say use 1/4" hose. I used 3/8" and it would not set staples even with pressure set 10 lbs. over max recommended pressure. Used nails instead of staples. I would not recommend this gun if you are working professionally. For my 800 ft. of hardwood it was fine. It does convert to a normal stapler but have not taken the flooring head off.

I am a weekend warrior who took on a 400 sq ft engineered hardwood floor. It was 3/8 in thick and not easy to work with. This nail gun was the perfect tool to staple the wood into the sub floor. This was the first time ever doing this type project and without this nail gun it would have been next to impossible to do properly. The gun did not jam 1 time during the project. it is light weight and i can use it for future projects as a regular brad nail gun. I highly recommend this product.

Honestly, all of the negative reviews of this item made me think hard about whether or not to give it a try, but ultimately the price point won me over and I figured I would return it if it turned out to be junk. Happily, this was not the case. For some context, what I needed it for was light-weight to put it mildly. One of the stairs of our house's three staircases had begun to sag deeply over the past few years so we hired a carpenter to fix it. He did a wonderful repair but didn't have an electric or pneumatic staplegun to put the carpet back, and rather than pay for the rental and his labor for another day, I decided to do it myself. After scouring Amazon, I figured since this tool was essentially the same price that I'd pay to rent a stapler for a day, I might as well buy it to keep around for future projects. I will say, however, that I already owned a compressor which is an expenditure in itself, so for those who would have no other need for one except in the use of this tool, it might not be worth it for you.So how did it fare? Over the twenty or so staples that I pumped out of this thing, all went in like butter. No jams. They were 1-1/2 inch staples too, so I wasn't dealing with a situation where a spring-loaded gun would have done the same job. The pressure was set at 100psi and the tool functioned admirably. I can't speak to how rugged it is or how well it would do under the weight of large projects, but for those who might need it only on occasion, I can happily recommend it. It might hold up under more demanding circumstances too, I just don't know... either way, it's hard to pass up given all you get for under $50! Hope this review helps. Cheers!

I purchased this unit to lay hardwood in my two bedrooms. Did the job very well although I needed to borrow a larger compressor than I had to get at least 120 psi so I could lay 5/8" hardwood using 1 1/2" staples. Had to hammer in a few staples if the pressure dropped too much. I would say that 1 1/2" is definitely the top edge of staple length and if you don't have a compressor that can deliver a steady 125 psi then you need to get a bigger stapler. This would not be recommended for commercial use, handyman special is ok. Does a nice job as a brad nailer and very easy to change over from the floor foot to brad nails. Some people complained about it being difficult to adjust for the floor thickness but I did not find that to be so. Glad I purchased it.

OK. Here's a little story for you. Tried to find a stapler like this somewhere in Phoenix, thinking it's a major metropolitan area and should be no problem. After trips to Lowe's, Home Depot, Lumber Liquidators, Floor and Decor, and Harbor Tool and Freight, I came home empty-handed. Had no idea what to buy, but someone at one of the stores recommended a Bostitch floor runner stapler. Amazon to the rescue! However, just as I was about to order the Bostitch Floor Runner, I noticed it had a large number of lousy reviews. Many, many people said it jams. So I was reluctant to order it. Reading their comments, several reviewers recommended this stapler, many saying it never jams. So I ordered one for my flooring project. Of course, when it came it jammed on the fourth staple. Rats! After clearing it, at jammed several more times in the next 10 minutes. Frustrated, and knowing this model had many great reviews, I ordered another one and asked Amazon for a refund. They shipped the second unit out immediately, refunded the price of the first one, and told me to just keep it. They didn't even want it back. Thanks Amazon, for helping me avoid the hassle of shipping it back. I appreciate how you stand behind your products. To make a long story short, the second unit worked flawlessly for thousands and thousands of staples on the large project. Not one single jam! I guess the first unit was just a lemon, probably made on a Friday. This thing works great, is reasonably priced, and made a really hard job go fast and easy. Buy with confidence!
